Hello Internet,
it has been a while since I entered my last post. I have been more or less busy. As you guys for sure already know Leica released a new Firmware for the M9 / M9-P. The current version is 1.174 – it is intended to solve problems with some SD cards though some say it is not solving all of them.
Click here to go to the Leica website to download the instructions and the update. (German page)
Leica says in general we should use cards from San Disk but for now not the 2 following ones:
– San Disk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 (all sizes)
– San Disk Extreme HD Video SDHC I (all sizes)
The update process executed without any problems. Basically you upload the file to your SD card using a card reader device, insert it into the camera and boot. After you confirm the update will be installed. Thats it. (For further details read the instruction PDF)
You should see something like:
(Update successful – restart the camera)
NOTE on Silver Efex Pro 2 used together with Adobe Lightroom:
In the last post I complained that if you edit an image out of Lightroom with Silver Efex Pro 2 that is already tagged – that your tags will be messed up completely. Well – Nik released an update which resolves the issue. Now it is much more fun to use the workflow again, because it was really painful to clean the mess up after using SEP 2. Thanks Nik – we all have been waiting way to long for the fix.
So have a nice weekend and see you soon!
Greetings,
Picki
PS: The SD card I use and which worked before and after the update is:
San Disk Extreme HD Video SDHC I ;-)
